EOBA championships held in Quinte

Updated Monday August 19, 2019 by Quinte Baseball Association.

The Quinte region was alive with baseball this weekend as the Royals played host to the Minor Bantam EOBA championships in the A, AA and AAA divisions.  Games were held in Trenton, Belleville and Wellington.

The Clarington Orioles played the Ajax Spartans in the single A finals on Sunday afternoon at Bayshore Park.  The Orioles came out on top 11-4 to win the championship.

The Whitby Chiefs took the championship in the AA division while the Oshawa Legionaires took the AAA championships..

The Champions will now head to the Ontario Baseball Association Championship being held over the Labour Day weekend.

The Quinte Royals would like to thank all the teams and families who spent their weekend at our beautiful diamonds.  A big thanks to the grounds crew from the city and the volunteers who worked tirelessly to ensure the diamonds were playable despite the rain on Saturday.  We couldn't have gotten through the weekend without your hard work.

The Quinte Royals wish Clarington, Whitby and Oshawa good luck in the upcoming OBA Championships.
